Mentor is a leading supplier of medical products for the global aesthetic medicine market. The Company develops, manufactures and markets innovative, science-based products for aesthetics markets around the world. Mentor Leiden manufactures high-quality breast implants that are used for breast augmentation and breast reconstruction.
Department:
The Engineering department is responsible for the long term planning, development, qualification and implementation of next generation manufacturing processes and automation technologies.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
During the internship you will familiarize yourself with the company and will learn about varies topic from Medical regulations and requirement to project management, deliverables, equipment’s commission and validation.
You will be involved in the life of the department, supporting engineers in a portion of a project like automation, equipment/line improvement (safety, quality,…).
Depending on the beginning of the internship, projects and tasks can evolve, generally your main tasks are:
- Owning our project defining the right approach
- Project management (time, deliverables, budget, resources, …)
- Support main initiative from concept / proof of principal / prototyping up to supplier selections, management or support the commission / qualification of equipment’s
Internship objective
Support the roll out of the Mentor automation strategy through innovation.
The nature (scope and project) of the assignment can vary based on the starting date.
Kwalificaties
Candidate profile
Are you studying Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and looking for a graduation assignment that focuses on equipment, processes. automation for 40 hours per week?
Are you a team player, well organized and able to speak and write in English (Dutch would be a plus)?
Are you familiar with Medical Devices, Regulation, Parma, Automation and Processes?
Start date
The start date depends on your school’s requirements. Possible start dates at Mentor are the first workday of the month or the third Monday of the month.
