Position Overview
We are recruiting for a Field Service Technician, based in the Vancouver area and will cover the province of BC and a limited number of accounts in Alberta.
Key responsibilities:
Required to accurately complete all paper-work associated with service calls and scheduled PMs, prepare repair estimates as required and obtain customer approval prior to proceeding with repairs.
Understand service procedures and service bulletins.
Responsible to ensure all contracts are renewed on a timely basis.
Developing customer specific presentations and ensure proposals for systems coming off warranty are presented to customers well in advance of the expiration date.
Assist territory Sales Representatives with customer presentations and trade shows as required.
Qualifications
University or Community College graduate with a focus on Electronic Engineering or equivalent is required. Biomedical degree is preferred.
Superior oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and a high level of drive and initiative are required.
Must have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to deal with multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic team oriented environment.
Experience working in hospital and clinics repairing medical equipment is an asset.
Up to 40% over night travel within provinces of BC and Alberta required
As driving is an essential requirement of the role, a safe driving record as per Johnson & Johnson SAFE Fleet guidelines is required.
Extended Hours are required to address emergency service calls occasionally with short notice, On-call on a regional rotation basis for vacation coverage.
Minimum 1 year work experience in capital equipment servicing in healthcare preferred or related industry an asset.
