Description
The purpose of this position is to complete projects with suppliers to provide an uninterrupted flow of components for assembly operations that meet instrument, quality, cost, and delivery requirements

1. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1. Complete technical projects with suppliers to improve supplier process capacity, supplier process capability, supplier process maintainability, instrument assembly capability, and instrument output performance
1.2. Determine tooling and spare requirements to maintain component supply
1.3. Provide technical support for the approval/ validation of changes/ improvements in supplier processes
1.4. Provide technical support for the resolution of component quality issues
1.5. Potentially coordinate RMI/CAD/BOM actives

1.10. Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area
1.11. Supports supplier evaluations for major services/products as needed
1.12. Compliance with safety policies and procedures

May serve as a lead Operations engineer on a development/revision of a product of significant complexity, or contribute significant, unique expertise across multiple product lines. Is an authority in a specific technical field, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments. Work is generally expected to result in the development of new or re- fined equipment, materials, processes, products and/or technical methods.
Qualifications
2. EDUCATION / DEGREE REQUIRED:
2.1 Bachelor of Science in Engineering with focus on manufacturing processes or product designs for manufacturability
2.2 Advanced Degree preferred
3. KEY SKILL / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
3.1. SKILL SETS:
3.1.1 Bilingual English/ Spanish
3.1.2 GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred
3.1.3 Knowledge of component manufacturing processes (preferably plastic injection molding, metal stamping casting, machining, and metal injection molding), component design for manufacturability, or design requirement cascade for instrument manufacturability
3.1.4 Knowledge of component design for manufacturability, or design requirement cascade for instrument manufacturability
3.1.5 Knowledge of components manufacturing costs.
3.2. COMPUTER SKILLS:
3.2.1 Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database applications and statistical software packages
3.3. EXPERIENCE:
3.3.1 Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.
3.3.2 9+ Years with BS in Related Field
3.3.3 Experience completing projects with suppliers to improve the technical capability, capacity, maintainability, and efficiency of their processes for a high volume assembly plant is desired
3.3.4 Experience in an FDA/ISO related industry is desired
