As process engineer in downstream processing you will plan,coordinate, execute and evaluate project work in a process developmentenvironment. Embedded in a small, dynamic team, your focus is on processimprovements, characterization and scale-up of a wide variety of techniques. Withyour scientific rigor, positive attitude and creativity, you will contribute tothe overall improvements of DSP processes, with the final goal of transferringthese processes into a cGMP-compliant pilot plant. You will profit from yourscientific background and analytic mindset for reporting, analysis andinterpretation of obtained results. Your easy-going nature and team spirit willallow you to take responsibility for, and efficiently lead your peers through,selected work packages.
Competencies
- Planning, coordination and execution ofprocess development and scale up.
- Generation of candidate vaccines forpreclinical evaluation
- Establishment, review and implementationof process related documents (study plans, batch records, study reports, standardoperation procedures …)
- Sampleorganization within the downstream processing (DSP) area including receptionand evaluation of data
- Evaluation of new or improvedtechnologies to enhance product quality, manufacturing cost efficiencies,personnel safety and regulatory compliance
- Contribution to activities such as maintenanceof equipment and rooms, ordering, and support of other departments
- Group-internalresponsibility and technical lead for selected work packages
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor or Masters Degree within thearea of Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biology or similar with a minimum of 1- 2 years of professional experience (pharma, biotech or vaccine industrypreferred)
- In-depth knowledge/hands-on experience withdifferent DSP techniques (centrifugation, tangential flow filtration,chromatography, depth filtration, etc.)
- Flexible team player with the ability toprioritize
- Ability to work according to tight andchanging timelines
- Basic knowledge and/or experience incGMP/GLP
- Business fluent in German,good conversational skills in English
