McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.
The Staff EHS Specialist will be responsible for: Planning and executing projects and programs designed to ensure the attainment of the company's goals relative to EHS and EPA/OSHA outcomes for the North America OTC Business both internal and external; The role will provide a focus and be one of a team of SME’s (Subject Matter Expert) working in a Center of Excellence (COE) for the OTC business; The Staff EHS Specialist will be responsible for on-going assessments of EHS programs and developing action plans that drive continuous improvement while sustaining compliance with regulations and J&J standards; The role is responsible for authoring and maintaining current EHS procedures and training and ensuring tools are in place to organize and manage specific EHS programs; The Staff EHS Specialist will serve as a SME providing technical support to the NA OTC business including capital projects; The Staff EHS Specialist will also serve as support to external audits and inspections (OSHA, ISO 14001, EPA,) with federal state, local regulatory agencies at McNeil facilities; This role will assure all related records are properly maintained, collected and reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner to local regulatory authorities or site management; He/she will facilitate incident, spill, injury and illness investigations and assist in meeting measurable objectives that are outcomes of investigations or incidents; This role may perform EHS audits of external manufacturers & suppliers identified as critical to External Manufacturing business; This position will review new regulations from outside agencies and Johnson and Johnson Worldwide Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainabilitypolicies and procedures; This person will partner with company management to develop and deploy an integrated EHS Strategy/Technical Plan that achieves stated goals for employee safety and wellness; He/she will coordinate EHS processes and programs and provides support for establishing program objectives with the support of the Center of Excellence Manager and EHS Lead at the site; He/she will follow all guidelines established in the organization for the continuous improvement of the ISO 14001 system; He/she will utilize Process Excellence (Lean and Six-Sigma) tools to enable business results; This person will support the System Based Owners/Champion concept and management as required.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required; At least 8 years of relevant experience with 3 of those years focused in a Specialty area within Environmental Health and Safety is required; Experience in the following areas is required: General Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Management, Hazard Communication, Laboratory Safety, Biological Safety, and EHS Management Systems; Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred; Certification in IH, CIH and/or CSP preferred; Experience in developing and implementing safety programs preferred; Demonstrated ability to be big picture oriented and be results and performance driven is required; The role will require 25% of domestic/international travel; The role will be based in Fort Washington or Lancaster, PA.
