The Supply Planner – Operations is responsible for supply planning or material planning for assigned products to meet customer service goals, optimize inventory investment and meet production requirements. This individual will be responsible for key performance indicators such as unit fills rates, inventory days of supply (DOS), and SLOB levels. The Supply Planner – Operations will perform finished goods inventory planning, management and reporting (i.e., safety stock modeling for components & raw materials, lead identification and minimization of obsolete inventory, and support builds for new products and phase-in/phase-outs for existing SKU's). This individual will build attainable product line production schedules to meet customer service goals, optimize inventory investments and meet production requirements. This individual will also monitor excess and obsolete WIP, raw material and component inventories. This individual works in direct coordination with the manufacturing facilities at Los Angeles to ensure the operations schedules are attainable and deliverable to meet customer service requirements. The Supply Planner – Operations will partner effectively with external departments including Forecasting, Customer Service, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Marketing to resolve issues impacting areas of responsibility.

Qualifications


The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. A focused degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Math, Engineering, or Logistics is preferred. Minimum of 6 months of business experience is preferred. Work experience in Consumer Products Supply Chain (including forecasting, distribution, warehouse and procurement) is preferred. Experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing facility is preferred. APICS certification is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel is required. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, Training, and/or Certification is preferred. Experience with SAP is highly preferred. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

The qualified candidate will have strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills. This candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and initiatives and while maintaining a strong sense of urgency. The position is located at Neutrogena in Los Angeles, CA and may require up to 10% travel, domestically.
