Occupational Health Nurse
Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is recruiting for a Part Time (19 hours weekly) Occupational Health Nurse II for its J&J facility in Irvine, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
The OHN provides nursing services and emergency (first-aid) treatments to employees who become ill or suffer an accident on company premises. Under supervision of a physician, the OHN administers medications and performs various minor treatments or therapies for injured or ill employees and ensures delivery of integrated services in accordance with Health & Wellness and regulatory guidelines and in alignment with the business needs of our customers.
The OHN provides various preventive health evaluations and tests in accordance with Health & Wellness policies and protocols, conducts health profiles, health evaluations and other services within the integrated employee Global Health strategy and complies with policy, procedures, written standing orders, protocols and medical directives as required by the company and State Nurse Practice Act. H/She maintains accurate clinical records, utilizing approved medical, nursing and statistical formats, including computer technology and provides support to the First Aid teams. The OHN maintains a safe working environment and acquires knowledge of the occupational hazards and treatment for exposures for assigned locations. H/She partners with other members of the Health & Wellness team as well as HR, Safety and management partners to encourage an integrated team approach to solving problems and participates in the development of Site Business plans supporting key Global Health Initiatives.
The OHN provides case management of workers' compensation and disability cases, assists in developing and administering budget and identifies customer service issues, investigates and assists in resolution. H/She participates in the Employee Development Program process and attends continuing education programs. H/She also participates in various Global Health Initiatives and projects.

Current Registered Nurse license for the state of CA required. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent education preferred. Ideally the OHN possesses a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Occupational Health Nursing. Having phlebotomy proficiency is also preferred. A Certification in Hearing Conservation and Spirometry is preferred and working knowledge of regulatory areas; i.e.; ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, STD/LTD is preferred.
It is ideal the OHN has good customer relations and communication skills and good computer skills required. Experience with computer-based medical documentation is preferred.
This position is located in Irvine, CA and requires up to 10% travel.
