PURPOSE: Appointed by the Site EHS Representative Coordinates all day-to-day activities to ensure compliance to regulatory and J&J
Searching the best talent for: EHS Technician
Band: 22
Work closely with the Site Environmental Representative to ensure the facility is in full compliance with operating permits.
Responsible for receiving and labeling all material chemical (Raw Material)
Responsible to Supply all chemical material to Manufacturing areas.
Responsible for organizing and managing the Site’s Hazardous Waste programs. Including day-to-day managing of collection, storage, and disposition of wastes to J&J approved TSD facilities.
Responsible for scheduling hazardous waste pick-ups as required by hazardous waste regulations
Responsible for performing weekly inspections of hazardous waste Installations to ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsible for performing weekly inspections of Biohazard waste installation and cafeteria.
Responsible for performing weekly inspections of outside perimeter
Work with the Site Environmental Representative to support the development and implementation of waste minimization program to achieve J&J Goals (NGG).
Responsible for supporting daily recycling activities.
Responsible for scheduling recycling pick-ups with vendors.
Documents all recycling, hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities and provide monthly update reports to the Site Environmental Representative.
Works closely with the Spill Response Team to offer leadership and support on developing training exercises, managing the collection, storage and disposal of chemical spill waste.
Assists the Site Environmental Representative in providing proper environmental awareness training to new/temporary EES associates and contractors.
Follow J&J and EES Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third party vendor if applicable.
Assist the Site Environmental Representative with the development and implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System program at the facility

Qualifications
High school Degree or Professional in process or interrupted
GMP/ ISO (18001 / 14001) knowledge preferred
Knowledge of product and processes
Strong communication Skills
Assertive
Basic knowledge of EHS programs
Knowledge of chemical and waste management.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, data management.(Excel, Word & Power Point)
Able and willing to learn new software
Three to five years experience in a manufacturing environment and/ or medical device industry
Two years experience in waste management
