Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies is currently seeking a Maintenance Group Lead
in Los Angeles, CA.

The Maintenance Group Lead will manage the Maintenance of assets and equipment to assure reliable performance of manufacturing process equipment in compliance with FDA guidelines and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). They will also be responsible to train and assign maintenance personnel on proper maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. They will participate in multi-functional teams to resolve maintenance issues and challenges across all three shifts and with various departments. Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within limits and guidelines of general practices and procedures but where minimal supervision is available to handle unusual situations. In accordance with Neutrogena’s policies and applicable laws and regulations, train and develop employees.
Comply with Neutrogena’s policies, procedures, quality standards and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as well as safety and environmental regulations.
Align maintenance resources and staff for maximum effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
Develop and maintain a high level of teamwork within the shift and with other shifts.
Coordinate and oversee the daily shift pass downs. Be the first point of contact between the Maintenance Mechanics and the Team Leader. Attend production board meetings to make sure Maintenance activities are properly addressed and scheduled. Train all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities for manufacturing process equipment. Support the maintenance portion of validation protocols (IQ/OQ) is executed in a timely manner. Support manufacturing systems achieve OEM capabilities. Assist the maintenance crew and production personnel with adjustments to production equipment. Train staff to solve production equipment problems.
Perform troubleshooting to improve safety, quality and efficiency of the equipment.
Communicate with production personnel regarding status of the equipment.
Train Maintenance Mechanics to perform changeover and maintenance activities.
Review Preventative Maintenance procedures for all Compounding equipment to ensure they are robust and assist in revising job plans and PM’s. Review/Verify the equipment logbooks are properly completed and that work orders for repairs to equipment, including parts and component replacements. Review/Verify proper GDP is followed for all documents; work orders, logbooks and forms. Support continuous improvement in equipment uptime and reliability metrics to achieve manufacturing schedule and OGSM objectives.
Perform assigned MAXIMO tasks. Maintaining good housekeeping in the Maintenance shop and storage areas and hold mechanics accountable for maintaining these areas. Identify potential maintenance issues and avoid problems by communicating with production the possible or actual delays.
Qualifications
The person must have High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or higher required. A minimum of 10 years of mechanical work experience or training required. Experience prioritizing work tasks and resources required. Experience working with Maximo preferred.
Must be able to work 2nd shift.
