Description

The Execution Systems COE is an enterprise wide, cross-sector organization, responsible for the integration of lab and manufacturing systems, to create an end to end global JJSC vision of Lab to Patient and the standards for content, execution and visualization of all batch manufacturing activities.

The Xi’an Execution Systems Lead will lead a multi -disciplinary team with expertise in the areas of Batch Process Control, Logistical Control, Change Management, Data Analytics and Visualization, and IT Systems and Infrastructure. This team, in partnership with Execution Systems COE peers, will help to develop and implement the set of technical and cultural standards necessary to achieve the Lab to Patient execution systems vision for the new Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain Manufacturing Base of Xi’an. The new Xi’an site will be a state of the art, highly automated, recipe driven facility supporting the manufacture and packaging of oral solid (tablets and capsules) and non-solids (creams and suppositories) products for sale within the Chinese market and export to Europe.

The Xi’an Execution System Lead will establish program tracking and reporting to ensure group is on track for key benefits realization. The Xi’an Lead motivates and inspires the team to drive significantly increased performance through technical innovation and change. This role will ensure compliance in all aspects of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) per Johnson & Johnson standards

The Xi’an Execution Systems Lead will specifically be responsible for:

Design and Develop Implementation Plan for system landscape, standards, interfaces and approaches to enable the lab to patient vision for the Xi’an site, with intention that this will be leveraged across OSD platform in future projects. Design Work Flow and Data Flow diagrams through proposed system architecture.

Develop and Assume responsibility for project management elements: Objectives and Scope, Deliverables, Key Success Factors, Timelines, Milestones, and Communication Plans.

Develop project mgmt org and model for system delivery

Develop, implement and deliver against the Workstream and Resource Plans

Lead the workstream project managers to deliver the workstream projects to specification, time and budget

Identify and secure adequate and experienced project resources to deliver the workstream project components

Manage the dependencies and interfaces between projects within the workstream

Identify, manage and resolve issues and risks at project level

Develop cost model for initial system design and sustainable support.

Develop Organization Design for Xi’an Execution Systems: Identify, recruit and transfer knowledge to resources to build out Xi’an team.

Collaborate with Xi’an high tech zone officials to establish a state of the art training center to facilitate the workforce transformation.

Successfully handover the new site to the local operating team

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline or MBA is preferred. Experience working in a regulated industry is required. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a GMP or GLP regulated or related position, demonstrating increased leadership assignments and responsibilities, is required. A deep knowledge of project management processes and change management experience is required.

Experience leading in a global, highly matrixed environment is required. Experience delivering innovative technical and engineering solutions in manufacturing environments is required. Large-scale project leadership experience is required. Demonstrated results leading, coaching and managing change that serves to motivate and inspire a highly engaged workforce to significantly improve performance, achieve stretch goals and solve problems is required. Knowledge of Process Excellence tools (Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred. Green or Black Belt Certification in Lean or Six Sigma is preferred. Must have the ability to assess and mitigate technical risks. Familiarity with IT application design and deployment is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have strong decision making and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to think strategically and manage change. The ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and drive alignment in a global environment is required. This position will be based in China for the project duration, and will require up to 25% travel.
