Janssen Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Training Manager, Global Medical Organization. This position can be based in Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ.

Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C. develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurologic disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders, and reproductive medicine.

The Training Manager (TM) is a member of the Learning, Education & Development (LED) team within Training & Document Control and is responsible for development and delivery training on GMO-related processes and pharmacovigilance-focused regulations, company and Cross-Pharma policies and procedures impacting GMO, and non-GMO systems and programs as appropriate. The TM actively collaborates with internal GMO and non-GMO colleagues and external business associates (i.e., CROs) to ensure that training needs are identified and aligned to overall GMO strategic objectives. The TM may participate on or lead cross-functional teams for special projects and provide consultation and assume responsibilities for program structure, delivery and assessment. The TM utilizes standardized methodologies to assess needs, develops and implements training and educational programs, and assesses the effectiveness of training programs for GMO across multiple geographic regions. The TM employs adult learning methodology combined with appropriate technology to perform these duties.

Lead the development and delivery of training programs and materials utilizing blended approaches that may include but are not limited to eLearning, instructor-led or web-based training. Actively partner with GMO functional leadership and other GMO partners as well as internal and external J&J business associates to ensure that training program outcomes are achieved. Ensure timely implementation of training deliverables including creation or revision to training materials, curricula, training compliance reporting, and any associated issue resolution.

Develop and implement training-related strategies and strategic alignments with GMO and non-GMO business functions in order to enhance and improve GMO’s staff and external business partner performance and capabilities.

Identify and implement programs and processes that result in continuous improvement of training deliverables through tracking and trending of training effectiveness. Perform ongoing analyses of individual training programs and overall training system effectiveness

Partner with functional area management to ensure GMO personnel achieve and maintain training compliance through development of role-specific curricula and specialized training assignments.

Partner with Pharma Sector and other J&J training groups to develop and deliver training programs as needed.

Qualifications


Undergraduate degree in Science, Business, Education or Related field is required. Master’s degree is desirable. 6+ years training experience is required. Experience in Instructional Design training is preferred. Knowledge and experience in drug safety processes and regulations, obtained from working at least five years in a drug safety team (or equivalent pharmaceutical regulatory environment) is desirable. Certifications or training in the following areas are desirable: adult learning, train-the-trainer, certified trainer, e-learning, project management, and/or quality management. Demonstrated experience managing staff is highly desired. The following technical skills are preferred for this position: Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Trivantis Lectora, Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ActionScript. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills is required. Also required are a commitment to providing excellent customer service and the ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously. This position requires the ability to establish successful working relationships with staff at all levels within the organization during the development and delivery of training programs and the ability to act in a consultative role to analyze training needs and ensure that required training outcomes are achieved. This position can be based in Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ. There will be less than 10% domestic travel.
