Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is recruiting for an Occupational Health Nurse for its J&J facility in Horsham, PA. This is a Casual Part time position (19.5 hours).
Key Responsibilities:
Provides nursing services and emergency (first-aid) treatments to employees who become ill or suffer an accident on company premises.
Under supervision of a physician, administers medications and performs various minor treatments or therapies for injured or ill employees.
Ensures delivery of integrated services in accordance with Health & Wellness and regulatory guidelines and in alignment with the business needs of our customers.
Provides various preventive health evaluations and tests in accordance with Health & Wellness policies and protocols.
Conducts health profiles, health evaluations and other services within the integrated employee Global Health strategy.
Complies with policy, procedures, written standing orders, protocols and medical directives as required by the company and State Nurse Practice Act.
Maintains accurate clinical records, utilizing approved medical, nursing and statistical formats, including computer technology.
Provides support to the First Aid teams.
Maintains a safe working environment.
Acquires knowledge of the occupational hazards and treatment for exposures for assigned locations.
Partners with other members of the Health & Wellness team as well as HR, Safety and management partners to encourage an integrated team approach to solving problems.
Participates in the development of Site Business plans supporting key Global Health Initiatives.
Provides case management of workers' compensation and disability cases for remote populations.
Assists in developing and administering budget.
Identifies customer service issues, investigates and assists in resolution.
Participates in the Employee Development Program process. Attends continuing education programs.
Participates in various Global Health Initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse license for the state of Pennsylvania required. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent education preferred.
A minimum of 3 years experience in Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
Phlebotomy proficiency required. Certification in Hearing Conservation and Spirometry preferred. Working knowledge of regulatory areas; i.e.; ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, STD/LTD preferred.
Good customer relations and communication skills necessary. Good computer skills required. Experience with computer-based medical documentation preferred.
