Description

Janssen Supply Group, LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for an External Supply Senior Planner to be located in Raritan, NJ.

The External Supply Senior Planner is a strategic liaison between the Internal JSG customers and up to six domestic external manufacturing sites. This position is responsible for supporting the global planning and material management of complex Janssen Diagnostic kits, instruments and country-specific related components. This business represents $16.7MM in sales and approximately $2MM in global inventory. The planner will be working in two different ERP systems with approximately 100 material codes across both systems. This position defines, measures, analyzes and implements improvements and controls planning and material processes to ensure base business, launches, long term, and individual's goals are aligned with JSC strategic objectives. The success of this role is measured by timely deliveries of orders, which meet target inventory levels and maintain continuity of supply to our customers.

Key responsibilities include: Develop rolling 24 month supply plan balancing demand, customer service and inventory needs. Implement key Global Planning processes with the external suppliers such as the monthly Supply Review Meeting and Short Term Exception Management process. Proactive identification of issues that may impact supply, Manage short and long term planning activities/processes and day-to-day planning, QA and customer issues such as, retrieve, interpret and monitor demand and sales trends, calculate safety stock, manage inventory levels, resolve mismatches and leads monthly renewal process. Position owns customer service metrics, monthly supplier performance metrics. Creates and updates orders to external suppliers. Partner with external site counter-parts, Demand Management, External Manufacturing, QA, Finance, GTO, Receiving, Accounts Payable, Customer Service, Value-Stream Leaders, and other functional areas related to the brand supply chain. Communicate forecast and priorities to the external sites; including event planning, and issue management.

Ensures Master Data is accurate and updated as required to ensure reliable MRP/ERP outputs. Drives and or supports S&OP and business plan teams. Develop supply plans in support of new launches. Ensure processes and systems are in place to support the new product launches. Manage PDP and company goals to achieve personal and business excellence. Complete all required training courses.

Position acts as point of contact (POC) for products under his/her responsibilities. Responsibilities of the POC include support of the business plan process, reports, manage inventory projections and may own inventory depending on product segmentation.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of 6 years of experience in planning, operations, logistics, or supply chain is required. MD&D related experience is preferred. Experience with several of the following processes including master production schedule process, inventory management, supply chain management, scenario analysis, change control, sales and operations planning, Planning Systems (SAP, APO) and other cross-functional business processes common to the pharmaceutical and medical drugs and devices industry (Master Data - cApps) is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering is required. Ability to prioritize issues to support the customer and supply chain requirements; and to operate in a collaborative and cross-functional organization is required.

This position requires flexibility in hours to accommodate US and EMEA work schedules when necessary, balancing work and personal time. This position requires up to 10% travel (domestically).
