The Associate Director, Medical Affairs (Local Safety) supports the North America Local Safety Office in oversight of pharmacovigilance activities for Consumer products and in ensuring compliance with local and global regulations and company policies. This position will work in collaboration with Global Medical Safety (GMS), Office of Consumer Medical Safety (OCMS), Regulatory Compliance,, EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV), and operating company business/functional units to identify, evaluate and communicate safety and/or compliance issues.
Additionally, this position will work cross-functionally to create local SOPs to ensure that all pharmacovigilance activities are standardized and their processes are documented, and will work with the US Consumer operating companies or J&J training functions to ensure training of Consumer operating company employees who participate in any drug safety-related activity.
This position requires expertise in safety, regulatory reporting, and compliance.

Qualifications
A minimum of a BS degree or equivalent is required. A healthcare professional background (eg. nursing [BS], pharmacy [PharmD]) is preferred. 5-8 years experience in pharmaceutical industry compliance related and/or safety related function is required. . At least 3 years drug safety experience is required. Experience with pharmacovigilance of OTC products is a plus, as is experience with compliance auditing in the pharmaceutical industry. People leadership experience and influencing skills are desired. Minimal travel is required between Fort Washington, PA and Skillman, NJ. This position is located in Ft. Washington, PA or Skillman, NJ.
