- All work will be carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Focus on 3D modeling (CAD) and drafting and the associate training and skill development to perform these tasks.
- Create, manage and implement engineering changes.
- Unsupervised participation in development projects.
- Assume responsibility for own design commitments delivering to agreed project schedules.
- Actively participate in cross functional development projects.
- Generate data and contribute required information for the Design History Files (DHF).
- Participate and manage Design FMEA creation.
- Interact routinely with all levels of company management, surgeons and suppliers.
- Design verification (drawing checking) of internal and externally generated models and drawings to verify mechanical integrity and ensure CAD data conforms to company standards and requirements.
- Liaise with and supervise suppliers contracted to supply design related information to the company.
- Coordinates prototype production.
- Strictly maintain confidential Information and intellectual property (IP) including Product development information, designs, trade secrets, government reporting and legal matters, sales volumes and marketing strategies.
- Develop company related systems, procedures and specifications.
- Mentor other team members & contract design resources on company processes, applicable software systems and general design and draughting principles.

Qualifications
- Possess a mechanical engineering background.
- Possess a minimum engineering qualification plus 2 years’ experience.
- Exhibits effective time management and decision making skills.
- Highly Computer Literate.
- 3D spatial awareness.
- Is proactive, demonstrating a high level of initiative.
- Team working skills and flexibility are essential.
