Performance Indicators
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Support local country IT vision and strategies, providing input to and ensuring alignment with MD&D Regional and Global strategies and plans.
- To support Country IT Director to work with country senior management, participates in developing country business strategies and goals
- Working with Regional IT, develops local IT strategies and objectives in alignment with country business strategies and goals
- Actively participates and contributes to development of Regional IT strategies and goals
- Ensures appropriate resources and organisation is in place to deliver objectives
· Country IT Strategy is an integral part of country overall Business Strategy
· Feedback from country internal customers demonstrates strong alignment of IT to business goals
· IT performance indicators and improvement targets defined and communicated to stakeholders
Key Performance Indicators:
Performance KPIs defined and monitored, in line with regional definitions.
· Participates in and helps to foster a positive benchmark mentality amongst Regional and Local IT management
· Initiates improvement programs using Process Excellence methodologies to address any performance issues
· Regional IT Scorecard adopted as primary set of KPIs
· Country IT Scorecard defined for areas of key focus in country, where these are not already covered by Regional KPIs
· KPIs reported to country senior management on a monthly basis
· Benchmarks and improvement targets established as a key component of country KPIs
Service Delivery:
Manage the Delivery of IT services in an effective manner.
· Manage delivery of country IT services in relation to Strategic Systems, Business Intelligence, Interconnectivity (e-Business), Business Systems (ERP) and Infrastructure
· Leads the development and deployment of innovative or best practice IT solutions which provide the business with:
· competitive advantage in the marketplace
· internal productivity and efficiency improvements
· Leverages off existing global or regional applications, systems and processes as a first option
· Manages IT resources to deliver services and projects within agreed times and budgets
· Ensures the IT user base is well trained and equipped to effectively use all available systems and technologies
· Internal customer satisfaction surveys indicate IT’s high level of business understanding, involvement and contributor to success
· Recognition for innovation through annual Image Awards
· Productivity improvements measured through reduction in SG&A
· Measure of business growth directly attributable to utilisation of innovative competitive applications and capabilities, e.g. EVA
· Projects delivered on-time and to-budget
· All users trained and certified in key applications and systems
Compliance
Ensure all IT activities are executed according to global, regional and country standards
· Ensure a deep understanding of all IT compliance requirements
· Works with Regional IT to ensure all IT compliance requirements are defined, managed and monitored
· Promotes need for compliance amongst IT organisation
· IT audit results are declared adequate by internal and external auditors
· All IT employees trained and certified annually on mandatory compliance areas, e.g. Business Conduct, SOX, etc
Financial Forecast & Expense Management:
Prepares business plans and manages expenses within agreed forecast and/or guidelines
· Support Country IT Director in to develop annual IT budgets and effectively manage IT expenditure within these agreed budgets
· Expense actual vs. Budget
· Annual reduction in country IT costs as percent of sales
Customer Satisfaction:
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction amongst external customers and internal customers.
· Builds relationships with relevant country department heads, particularly Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain
· Builds relationships with key external customers
· Annual internal customer feedback by survey
· Internal Customer Network/Relationship Plan in place
· Regular, planned customer visits to strengthen relationships with key customers and present customer specific plans and initiatives
Self Development:
Develop high level of knowledge in product and market related areas, keeping abreast of current developments and trends within Supply Chain.
· Gains general knowledge of MD&D product range and relevant surgical applications
· Gains detailed knowledge of country healthcare and surgical market
· Keeps up to date on IT trends amongst key customers and competitors within Medical industry for country
· Continues to progress understanding and application of Process Excellence tools
· Personal development plan in place
· Technical update training completed
· Attendance at industry conferences
· Attendance at product training sessions for key products
· Knowledge gained from Medical industry and best-in-class exposure used as inputs to country and regional Strategic Planning process

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- A minimum of 12+ years IT experience with significant large scale, global, program delivery is required, is seen as trusted partner by business leaders.
- Ability to articulate a vision that is readily understood by varying levels of audiences. Ability to educate and inspire team to execute a vision.
- Strong broad-based IT background both hands-on and management is required..
- Must have the ability to align complex Architecture to business strategies and initiatives.
- Ability to understand implications of business strategies on IT and technology landscapes.
- Must have passion, experience, hands-on participation with IT, used to enable strategic vision.
Desirable:
· Experience of driving commercial IT program such as CRM, E-commerce, etc.
· Knowledge and experience of working in Health Care industry
· MBA degree
