The Senior Maintenance Supervisor will be accountable for detecting and resolving supply chain constraints related to manufacturing and equipment with special focus on equipment optimization and reliability and semi-automation/automation strategies, striving in the overall support of the operations area performance. Manage process equipment projects and lead equipment-related continuous improvement initiatives with new technology transfer and qualifications. This individual will supervise maintenance and integration technicians, mechanics, CMMS Operator, equipment technicians, machine shop and calibration employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Additional responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

The Senior Maintenance Supervisor will maintain in good operational conditions all Manufacturing Processing Equipment (from Shell Fabrication to Sterilization and Final Packaging processes). Support Breast Implant Operations Process Engineers related strategies where the equipment and operating systems are impacted. Work with the site Engineering Group and Business Unit team to provide technical support in the daily troubleshooting and resolution of controls problems in the equipment. Develop, recommend and support the implementation of new controls and automation strategies including new technologies and software applications. Participate in the design and implementation phase of continuous improvement projects toward controls optimization. Represent Operations and Maintenance organization in Manufacturing Equipment Excellence forums, as required. Evaluate process and equipment and recommends appropriate modifications and/or new equipment for the improvement of the Process Centered Organization equipment considering ergonomic, environmental and safety company policies.

The Senior Maintenance Supervisor will establish, implement and maintain the facility's preventive maintenance program and manage the computerized maintenance system, including maintaining equipment files and information on all equipment for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance. Complete requests from all departments for calibrations of new equipment, managing the computerized calibration system, and maintaining calibration files of all calibrated equipment for GMP compliance. Implement and maintain the Tooling Control System to support manufacturing as well as coordinate tooling requirements and determine in-house tooling manufacturing or tooling procurement from outside resources. Manage requests from New Product initiatives, Operations and other departments for customized fabricated parts and machined tooling and fixtures to improve production efficiencies. Evaluate and implements strategic processing technology upgrades. Manage the Manufacturing Equipment Excellence (ME2) program for the site.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required, preferably in an Engineering discipline. A minimum of 10 years of experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is required. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is required. Experience working in a FDA regulated environment is preferred. Experience working with subcontractors, construction, maintenance, welding, electronics and air conditioning preferred. Experience working with semi-automation and/or automation required. Experience with overall maintenance areas of a regulated manufacturing facility is required. Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is preferred. Experience with manufacturing processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), equipment/process validation, investigations and regulatory compliance required. Knowledge of the following key regulations and standards preferred: ISO, Quality Systems Regulations (QSRs), Medical Device Directive (MDD), Canadian Medical Device Regulation (CMDR), BSI (European), National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) - Brazil. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) (e.g. Maximo) is preferred. Knowledge of Operator Asset Care programs preferred. Knowledge of Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools and methodologies preferred. Knowledge of Manufacturing Equipment Excellence (ME2) is preferred. Project management experience is preferred. Process Excellence/Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) Certification preferred. Must have strong leadership skills. Must have excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. The ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment. This position will require up to 10% travel.
