DePuy Orthopaedics is currently searching for a Biotech Operator-Clean Room for their West Chester, PA facility.

The Biotech Operator-Clean Room will set up and operate diverse types of manual and semi-automatic production equipment used to produce SyntheCel product lines. Ensures production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to and safety rules are followed.

The Biotech Operator-Clean Room performs duties and responsibilities as required per Work Instructions, Training Guides and S.O.P guidelines. They also train and obtain proficiency in all manufacturing and packaging procedures used to produce all SyntheCel product lines. They are also responsible for the following: Setting-up and operating manual and semi-automatic production equipment to produce clinical and commercial products, following all procedures in a clean room environment, performing in-process tests per the manufacturing procedures, calibrating balances and weighing raw materials. maintaining manufacturing areas in accordance with operating procedures, and working together with Department Manager and Lead Production Operator production planning to ensure timely production of products.

In addition, the Biotech Operator-Clean Room strives to maintain product quality at all times, performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on a regular basis, reviews and signs operator inspection sheets, process sheets and labels for accuracy and correctness, reviews completed work orders for accuracy and correctness prior to transferring to the Department Manager for final review. They also complete Quality Records as they relate to the manufacturing process, assist in the development of process sheets, operator inspection sheets and SOPs as required, know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times. Responsibilities of this role also include diligently participating in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer and putting in necessary overtime, including some weekends, to meet the requirements of the position/department. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications


A minimum of a High School Diploma is required. College degree or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years of related work experience. A minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industries is required. Prior experience working in a clean room environment is required. This position is on the second shift and will require availability to work on the second shift on a daily basis. Will also require some weekends and overtime at peak times of the year. The successful candidate must have the ability to work within a team environment to resolve problems and implement change, in addition to being computer literate, have basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and have the ability to complete paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion. This position is located in West Chester and is requires that the successful candidate has the availability and capability to travel to West Chester on a daily basis.
