New Technology Education Manager

The New Technology Education Manager is a key member of Biosense Webster's Global New Product Development Marketing and the Global Training and Education organizations. This function will focus on developing new product training for internal and external new product development clinical & procedural training. The primary focus of this position is to design, develop, and implement a robust and actionable Clinical & Procedural Education Program for our New Product for internal and external stakeholders globally. These programs will ensure Biosense Webster is recognized as best in industry for clinical and procedural focus and knowledge dissemination. This position will manage the implementation of these education programs for New Products globally, and work closely with multiple stakeholders to develop and execute them.

Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position develops and delivers clinical and procedural curriculum for all customer groups targeted for education and training efforts of our New Product. These curriculums are intended for internal and external education and training. The New Technology Education Manager will be responsible to lead the Clinical and Procedural training content development in partnership with other functions such as Global NPD marketing – Product Directors, R&D Organization, Regional Commercial Groups and Medical Science. The New Technology Education Manager will develop & execute a long term worldwide internal field training program / educational continuum for our New Product Development (NPD) and will lead the development & deployment of training materials & programs to ensure maximum success by maximizing effectiveness of new product launches, training the local trainers in each region (train the trainer) on the new products and training a few Key Customers in the big regions on the new products (mainly during External Evaluation and Limited Market release of the NPD).

The New Technology Education Manager has responsibility to build and lead education & training curriculum of all clinical & Procedural NPD for field personnel and external customers via multiple training mechanisms & vehicles including online/remote courses, instructor led programs and self-study materials as relevant. This role collaborates with Electro physiologists and other key stakeholder groups to understand key requirements for field force competencies & behaviors, while collaborating with the field management team, to develop a tailored training solution for needs in order to ensure Launch excellence of new products in the field. This individual will develop a robust infrastructure of Field Trainers to aid in the delivery of Clinical & Procedural training content and develops key ROI indicators & a dashboard for each NPD training event and perform post-project analyses. In addition and as part of the development process of the NPD the New Technology Education Manager will participate as an extended team member in global core team meetings and will contribute with his/her input on PDP Marketing deliverables , providing input for clinical application of products in development and launch tools and resources. S/he will collect US based customer inputs for new product improvements and requirements.

The New Technology Education Manager will participate in pre-clinical activities as needed by NPD, be an active participant of VoC plans for NPD by supporting the VOC cases as needed Create surveys of VoC together with the NPD marketing and Translate surveys into summary. The New Technology Education Manager will participate in congress meeting and support VoC, Technology education. The New Technology Education Manager is supposed to be at least 20% of the time in clinical labs with physicians and also assess in-lab implications to non-physician stakeholder, identify implementation challenges for clinical teams, determine practical feasibility for application of technology or feature, given current clinical practice or clinical use. S/he is responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level, for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition and for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. S/he performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications


Requirements:

The New Technology Education Manager must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of Electrophysiology is required, an advanced degree is preferred. S/he must possess 5 years total professional experience in training, education, clinical or marketing in the healthcare industry. Cardiovascular and/or Electrophysiology experience is preferred. Prior experience delivering clinical training programs is preferred. Prior experience launching new products is required.

Advanced proficiency in CARTO® System Case Support is preferred. A proven track record managing close customer relationships is required.

The New Technology Education Manager must possess strong clinical acumen (Electrophysiology experience is an asset). S/he must possess excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization (verbal and written), and strong classroom facilitation/presentation skills. S/he must possess the ability to effectively breakdown complex concepts and to teach at all levels of learning.

This position is located in Diamond Bar, CA and may require domestic or international travel (up to 40%) is required. Some weekend travel and work will be required.
