The Opportunity

Our portfolio of biologic products, Simponi, Remicade and Stelara remain at the forefront in transforming the treatment of complex immunologic conditions. Importantly, the portfolio is delivering on the promise to revolutionize therapy and care for patients living with rheumatoid disease offering significant health economic and patient quality of life benefits.

Janssen Inc. is looking to hire a Regional Business Manager who will play a leadership role in SHAPING and DELIVERING strategy that will transform care for patients living with rheumatoid disease. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to LEAD aspects of strategy related to the marketplace within the province.

Position Overview

As the Regional Business Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for delivering on revenue projections through the development and implementation of customer and region specific strategies aligned with franchise strategic plans. The Manager will also be responsible for developing and executing through a high caliber and experienced sales team. All activities will be directed toward driving growth for the Immunology business.

The territory for this role is Ontario East/Ottawa and the successful candidate will be based in Toronto (GTA).

Other specific responsibilities will include:

- Leadership and development of a high functioning team to achieve business results
- Build foundational value proposition strategies to maximize long term profitability
- Create mutually beneficial relationships with top tier customers
- Increase effectiveness and profitability of existing and future top tier customers
- Promoting a team environment of engagement, Credo leadership, inclusion and employee development, differentiating Janssen workplace as a competitive advantage.
- Accountability for talent through active and responsible leadership in the areas of recruiting, developing, advancing and retaining talent with a focus on continuing to accelerate diversity to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Working closely with franchise business partners (Marketing, Clinical Communications, Government and Community Affairs) to implement strategies.
- Monitoring trends, managing relationships and developing business strategies with key customers

RBM positions are considered flow-through and require demonstrated interest and ability to move to positions of increased responsibility in the future.

Qualifications


- University degree (science or business related; MBA an asset)
- At least 5 years diverse healthcare-related industry experience; pharmaceutical experience preferred; previous marketing experience required; Experience in the biologic therapeutic area an asset
- Ability to lead, develop, coach, and engage high-performing teams. People management experience, preferred.

- Success leading change in ambiguity and uncertainty, with demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges
- Strong communication skills, including highly technical concepts and diverse audiences at all levels
- Designated RBM positions are considered flow-through and may require demonstrated interest and ability to move to positions of increased responsibility in the future.
- Valid driver's license; meets J&J fleet safety requirements
- Must be willing and able to travel across the Region, estimated 40% travel
