Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women's health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. The Somerville Headquarters CAPA Engineer supports the CAPA process with the headquarters groups with a focus on quality and compliance in Somerville, NJ. This individual proactively mentors CAPA owners and approvers in the CAPA process with a focus on CAPA content, from root cause investigation through action plan deployment and effectivity monitoring. This individual provides CAPA data analytics, performs CAPA queries, authors CAPA reports, and expedites the CAPA process. The individual must be able to deliver results in the matrixed organization while fostering a Credo culture. The individual champions continuous improvement in the CAPA process.
Qualifications
A BS in Engineering or Sciences is required. A minimum of 5 years of related job experience in Operations, Manufacturing or Quality is required. Experience working in an FDA regulated environment is required. Prior CAPA or Quality System experience is preferred. Demonstrated skills in root cause analysis and failure investigations are required. Strong documentation skills with a high level of detail and accuracy are required. Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is preferred. Cognos experience is preferred.
Demonstrated Project Management skills with strong results orientation are required. Strong communication, human relation, problem solving and analytical skills are required. Demonstrated leadership skills without direct authority responsibility are required. Demonstrated effectiveness as a team member and a team leader are required.
