The Engineering Team Leader will play a key role in developing and implementing processes for the manufacture of machined and highly polished products. He/she will lead and participate on cross-functional teams concentrating on the improvement of existing products and processes along with the launch of new products. This individual will lead and participate on the Lean, Product Development and CIP teams with the Quality group for the successful qualification of products and processes. The Engineering Team Leader will work with other manufacturing, process and quality engineers to develop new technologies and processes, while ensuring compliance with approved methods and quality standards.

The Engineering Team Leader will provide engineering leadership and support to the Polish Production Cell, ensure compliance with all FDA, ISO, quality, safety and environmental regulations and initiatives and lead or assist with projects to in-load or transfer products. This individual must be able to trouble shoot and resolve complex manufacturing processes, issues, develop and implement detailed project plans, develop and institute cost improvement programs and be able to apply engineering quality principles in support of manufacturing. He/she will review designs for manufacturability, define tooling requirements, and develop manufacturing process with project team members. The Engineering Team Leader will also develop the strategic plan for the Cost Reduction and Process Development, including: initiate and lead process and product improvement programs for cycle time, cost reduction, safety and quality improvement. The Engineering Team Leader will work with their team to develop the strategic and tactical goals for the department, and work on cross site teams to drive worldwide alignment and build best practices.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. An advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of six years of manufacturing and/or engineering is experience required. Experience working within a regulated industry (FDA, ISO, GMP) is required. Medical Device industry experience is preferred. Working knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is required. CNC machining experience is required. Experience working with UG Cad-Cam is preferred. Strong project management skills are required; the ability to lead complex projects and team development is required. Previous experience with metal polishing is preferred. Knowledge of process validations, process mapping and CMM programming is preferred. Process Excellence is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required along with the ability to perform effectively working within cross functional teams.

The position is located in Raynham, MA and may require up to 10% travel, including international.
