Responsible for creating an effective supply plan for the whole or part of a specific manufacturing location / technology whilst at the same time being a key planning contact for a particular Franchise business segment (e.g. Beauty Care – Neutrogena) ensuring that top down information from the Franchise is effectively communicated downstream to all affected parties of the Planning cummunity.

He/She understands the compelling business needs of the Franchise and is balancing this against individual Market requirements. The Regional Planner/Buyer is responsible for maintaining a balanced net demand plan by SKU with short, mid and long term horizon taking into account demand and supply constraints. Regional Planner /buyers are interacting between the supply chain functions and the Affiliates teams to enable the delivering of operating profit, working capital and customer service goals for a given portfolio. They will perform arbitration and decision taking in times of demand conflict.

He/she works flawlessly with Country based supply chain team, Toll Manufacturing facilities, Non-EMEA JJ Affiliates, third party manufacturers (TPMs) using regional ERP systems to most effectively balance demand and supply, to manufacture &/or deliver products on time and in full, while achieving optimal inventory and service level targets.

Also responsible for any task/duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.

Key Responsibility Includes:

Supply Planning

- Reviews per market and total region requirements and develop supply plan for the franchise
- Reviews In-house toll constrained supply plan taking into account capacities and RPM availabilities and defines supply priorities
- Provides input on supply outlook to the markets’ Pre-S&OP meeting
- Leads related part of the regional Franchise Pre-S&OP meeting
- Coordinates and communicates proactively the resolution of supply issues (short fall & surpluses) with the different stakeholders
- Reviews regularly safety stock target policies with the markets via the Toolkit
- Supports New Product Initiatives & Product Changeovers by ensuring on time supply availability for launch and minimizing inventory write-offs
- Builds and maintains strong working relationship with Toll Manufacturing, Non EMEA JJ Affiliates and TPMs and provides inputs to Vendor Performance

Supply Execution

- Runs MPS/DRP/MRP in SAP to execute the supply plans
- Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and Forecast to TPMs and non-SAP affiliates within the agreed ordering lead-time
- Issues Stock Transfer Order (STO) from Toll Manufacturing following the agreed inter-company freeze period
- Monitors shipments until arrival and perform shipping notification for PO to capture GIT
- Updates STO/PO in the system to provide accurate supply visibility to the markets
- Uses the regionally nominated carriers and 3PLs for cost effectiveness and efficiency

Master Data & Authorization governance

- Provides accurate and complete supply planning parameters & purchasing conditions for system maintenance
- Reviews lead-times and MOQs with key stakeholders to improve supply flexibility

Self/People Development

- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant franchise products and supply chain best practices

The position will be measured primarily on:

- Customer Service Level: UFR
- Inventory: Days & Value
- Phase in/ Phase out- SLOB
- No. of Overdue STO/PO
- Master Data Audit Findings
- Personal Development plan in place
- 360 degrees Feedback

Other Dimensions

- Compliance to worldwide, regional and local polices eg. GMP/Quality, Policy of Business Conduct, Healthcare Compliance, SOX, etc.

Qualifications


-
Bachelor degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field

-
At least 2-3 years experience in a Supply Chain Planning/Manufacturing role

Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application

Demonstrates integrity, inspires trust and avoids conflicts of interest
