Description
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Packaging Supervisor, 1st Shift to be located in Lancaster, PA.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.
The Packaging Supervisor will be responsible for achieving day-to-day process outcome and delivering process results. He/She will focus on efficiency of process, reduced changeovers, customer service goals, compliance, cost management and training. This individual will effectively manage Operations Associate performance and development to support company policies, procedures and goals. He/She will participate in PRT walkthroughs. The Packaging Supervisor will support projects and project teams as appropriate. He/She will think analytically to understand a situation or problem; makes metrics-based decisions. This individual will partner with peer group to investigate and implement best practices across the business. The Packaging Supervisor effectively communicates the need for change. He/She will support departmental budgets, efficiencies, and compliance metrics. This individual will identify and prioritize improvement priorities (process, equipment, systems) with the PRT. The Packaging Supervisor will ensures lines are adequately staffed on a regular basis and plans are in place to meet ongoing staffing needs to reflect changing priorities. He/She will analyze the operation against Unit Fill Rate, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc. to ensure compliance and proactively identifies gaps and presents solutions to resolve. The Packaging Supervisor will demonstrate business acumen in all levels of decision making. He/She will be responsible for reviewing and approving packaging batch records.
The Packaging Supervisor will ensure process is in compliance with cGMPs. He/She will effectively manage owned items on the DCM Dashboard. This individual will maintain superior housekeeping and appearance through walkthroughs. The Packaging Supervisor will initiate and lead non-conformance investigations including Quality Notifications, Consumer Complaints and CAPA’s as assigned. He/She will ensure process is in compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations. This individual will ensure all safety/environmental observations are remediated. The Packaging Supervisor will provide effective case management of incidents while liaising with Safety Engineer and Safety Teams to conduct safety investigations and initiate safety process improvements. The Packaging Supervisor will set an example for personal commitment and accountability. He/She will provide timely and honest feedback and coaches and mentors others to achieve their highest potential. This individual will ensures follow-through on personal development plans for all employees. He/She will acts as a change agent within the organization and oversee performance and hold associates accountable for results. The Packaging Supervisor will provide guidance and coaching to associates in managing their assigned areas or lines. This individual will perform direct report performance reviews and development plans.
The Packaging Supervisor under minimal supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations, the Companies’ policies, procedures and guidelines. He/She will ensure employees under your scope of responsibility are trained in required procedures for the execution of their role and maintain current with training requirements during the year. This individual will promote an environment of employee involvement in the workplace. The Packaging Supervisor will seek prompt identification, reporting and correction of deviations in the workplace as noted by employees.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree and/or the equivalent experience within operations and/or manufacturing environment is required. A minimum of 3 years operations and/or manufacturing experience is required. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. The ability to develop people is required. The ability to develop, lead and execute tactical plans is required. The ability to drive action is required. Strong analytical software proficiency to support metric development is required. Technical knowledge of supply chain process is required. Technical writing ability is required. The ability to gather information, analyze it and develop tactical plan is required.
The ability to acts decisively, setting clear priorities is required. Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills are required. The ability to drive accountability is required. The ability to comprehend manufacturing processes and equipment is required. Strong verbal and written skills and proven analytical ability are required. The ability to frequently lift/carry between 1-35lbs and occasionally lift/carry between 36-50 lbs is required. The ability to lift from the ground to knees and waist and from the waist to shoulders is also required.
This position is located in Lancaster, PA.
