The Clinical Integration Specialist is responsible for Assessing, planning, coordinating, and communicating key facility readiness / integration activities necessary prior to installation of, and training on, the SEDASYS® System; driving Sedasys customer adoption/utilization through business process observation, metric tracking, and process improvement recommendations with respect to flow, use of device and integration into practice; recognizing and communicating ways to expand on-label use of the SEDASYS System by identifying more users, more efficient scheduling, and/or the need for 1 or more Systems in customer facilities.

The Clinical Integration Specialist will comply with healthcare facility credentialing guidelines and ensure all mandatory documentation is complete and maintained. They will set standards for safe behavior and recognize and reward safe behavior in others. Enforce safety policies and procedures. Assessing facilities operational readiness prior to training and installation of the SEDASYS System. Assisting the facility customer with reviewing current and proposed operational flow and metrics prior to installation.

These activities may include but not limited to: patient scheduling and flow (cycle times), staff scheduling, physician scheduling, physician block time, procedure room designation for the SEDASYS System, and discharge criteria. Routinely using SalesForce.com platform to document call notes and create/update relevant attachments. Assisting the facility with developing an integration action plan that proactively addresses the critical success factors of a successful integration. Providing relevant training and device orientation to pre-op and recovery room staff that supporting the device utilization. Identifying utilization targets and monitoring customer progress, identify opportunities to increase on-label device utilization either through expanded clinician adoption (i.e. penetration), expanded number of physician/nurse adopters, or identification and removal of barriers. Identifying and partnering with key stakeholders including customer and J&J partners to ensure strategies and recommendations are up to date with the latest market trends. Partnering with local nurse/physician champions to develop facility specific change management strategies and utilize appropriate tools and techniques to ensure customer adoption of recommendations. Developing metrics to monitor performance against agreed upon goals for realizing the Sedasys value proposition after installation/training. Proposing approaches to track, forecast and monitor capacity, and highlight areas subject to potential constraints in customers realizing the value proposition in order to provide solutions to the business. Evaluating and recommending business process changes to achieve measurable improvements in practice productivity when implementing the SEDASYS System at customer facilities. Assessing customer satisfaction with the support they received and the use of the SEDASYS System in their unit for indicated procedures through one on one conversations, surveys, or other mechanisms (i.e. Net Promoter Score). Driving utilization of the SEDASYS® System and conduct business reviews with Sedasys customers as needed. Attending conferences and sales calls as needed to support initial trials/ product purchases. Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.

Qualifications


A Minimum of a B.S/B.A. is required. An MBA or graduate degree is preferred. A black belt certification and an RN Degree are preferred. A minimum of 4 years of related work experience preferably in GI and/ or procedural sedation area is required. Prior experience in training others on medical device product knowledge and use is preferred. Having additional device or pharmaceutical experience as a consultant or employee training or certification in Lean or Six Sigma is preferred. Prior experience educating and/or training healthcare providers is preferred.

Understanding of and/or have experience in healthcare change management and driving change or adoption of new technology in hospital and/or individual provider settings is required. Ability to collect and analyze data and conduct business reviews with Sedasys customers is required. Communication and teamwork skills, analytical skills, networking and customer relationship management skills, time management and organization, project management skills, ability to motivate and be inclusive and influence management within a multi-disciplinary team without direct authority are required. Personal computer and mobile application software, Windows: word processing, project planning, presentation, e-mail, and knowledge management tools, iPad: documents, videos, email, and other applications and process mapping/project management software are required.

This position is both field and home based. Initial travel will be up to 100% for the first 12 month. Then will drop down to 50%-70% over time.
