Description

Johnson and Johnson Health Care Systems is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Clerk for their Memphis Tennessee facility.

The Maintenance Clerk will perform administrative duties for the Maintenance Department, supporting the efforts of the Maintenance Supervisor and a staff of Maintenance Technicians. The Maintenance Clerk will administer Maintenance Technician coverage, delegate planned and preventative maintenance tasks and perform requisitioning of maintenance materials. Responsibilities include administration of the CMMS (Computer Managed Maintenance System) including data entry and querying data. Responsibilities will include requisitioning and interface with contract maintenance providers, administration of fleet management software and support of site sanitation activities.

The Maintenance Clerk plays a critical role in compliance, ensuring calibration and maintenance is scheduled and documented appropriately to ensure the safety of the patients using the medical devices stored and distributed within the facility.

This role will be performed with a focus on safety and quality in global logistics center. The Clerk supports the safe performance of maintenance and distribution activity typically occurring over a 24 hour period.

The equipment and facilities being maintained include conveyor systems, forklifts, HVAC equipment, air compressors, packaging machinery, storage systems and general building facilities.

Additional Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for a maintenance staff of eight, scheduling vacation coverage, confirming time sheets, delegating work, scheduling training and supporting other staff administrative needs.

Ensure safe work practice within the Maintenance staff and understand the implications of working in a GMP environment; ensuring that the staff works smart, safe and compliantly.

Serve as CMMS “Maximo” administrator, entering assets, providing structure to assets, entering maintenance requirements, asset details and performing system transactions. The Clerk is responsible for ongoing education associated with understanding the CMMS and associated upgrades to the system.

Responsible for delegation and documentation of calibration work or critical planned maintenance work, reviewing the completed work for completeness of the documentation and to ensure that there is follow-up for any follow-up indicated on the report.

Responsible for MHE fleet management system; that is, understanding and reporting on forklift usage, monitoring trends in ‘out of service’ equipment, monitoring parts usage, ensuring safe usage of MHE.

Provide Maintenance record keeping, for example associated with fall protection training, equipment inspection, hot work permits, line break permits and contractor orientation for maintenance work to be performed, among other important document retention requirements.

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the management of maintenance contractors on site, providing administrative support for work such as battery maintenance, mechanical work, such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, evaporators, condensers, pest control, sanitation, etc.

The Maintenance Clerk may receive information, concerns regarding an unsafe situation in the facility. It is the Clerk’s responsibility to ensure that these situations are addressed in a timely manner, providing communication and documentation associated with the risk.

The Clerk plays an important role in ensuring that the maintenance staff and contractors have the appropriate tools, appropriate training and appropriate understanding to perform their work safely.

The Clerk is responsible for receiving maintenance work orders, via the CMMS, email, verbal, however and ensuring that these requests are prioritized, and addressed.

Supports administration associated with building maintenance contractors, such as ‘pest control’, landscaping, and sanitation.

Supports administration associated with managing expenditures and budgets, and reporting on spending

Completes all other tasks/projects as assigned by management / supervisor

Qualifications


A minimum of a High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years related industrial, administrative experience is required. Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred. Experience working with a CMMS system is preferred; experience with the Maximo system is desirable. Experience with procurement, in particular Ariba software is desirable.

Demonstrated flexibility/sense of urgency (takes direction and accomplishes tasks quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality)

Demonstrated ability to follow policies, SOPs, regulations and legal requirement knowledge.

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, MSOutlook, Powerpoint, CMMS systems, Ariba

Ability to work with all levels within the organization.

The work environment is a normal warehouse setting. Travel is not required for this position.
