Searching the best talent for: Sr Process Excellence Engineer

Main responsibilities:

Lead, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of Lean Manufacturing efforts.

Develop and implement lean training programs and facilitate organizational learning.

Follows and observes all regulatory requirements (GMP’s, ISO, FDA, internal policies) applicable to area of responsibility.

Comply with J&J Safety/Environmental Requirement and safe working conditions and practices in the department.

Ability to set priorities and achieve objectives.

Develop and implement layouts through the use of lean manufacturing concepts.

Develop, implement and maintain processes to measure and manage production results versus goals. Maintain Plant Dashboard.

Must be able to work under pressure achieving consistently high results through individual and team efforts.

Conceive, develop and implement Lean Manufacturing processes to improve efficiencies, increase productivity and/or improve quality.

Facilitate and support business process mapping team across business to eliminate non-value added activities.

Demonstrates understanding of cross-functional processes in a manufacturing plant.

Demonstrates expertise in understanding organizational dynamics, priorities, and objectives of the different groups and recognizes the interdependencies of all parameters (production and non-production).

Demonstrates the ability to work cross-functionally and optimize resources to meet / exceed production performance on quality, cost, delivery, and budget for a large segment of a manufacturing operation.

Demonstrates ability to lead plant level improvement projects including Operational Excellence and cost reduction initiatives

Demonstrates ability to understand product cost drivers by interpreting product bill of materials and cost sheets to ensure adherence to projected cost.

Leverages knowledge of product costs and drivers, and Design to Value concepts, to effectively participate in cross-functional teams pursuing product cost improvement initiatives.

Recognizes machine operating conditions and requirements for optimum production runs and can troubleshoot and resolve basic line performance issues.

Defines opportunities, analyzes data, designs manufacturing line flows, and improves business processes. Improvement initiatives are led by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams that deliver tangible business results through the application of Lean and Six Sigma principles, methodologies and tools.

Utilizing business, leadership and technical skills. He/She will both execute projects and mentor all groups (associate to management) at the site, developing a continuous improvement culture.

Applies knowledge of relevant continuous improvement tools and approaches to increase production up-time, minimize unplanned maintenance, minimize work in process inventories (WIP) or plant inventories, and implement cost reduction initiatives across equipment and labor.

Qualifications


Requirements

Bilingual (Spanish & English)

0-7 years of overall business professional experience is required. Experience in Manufacturing is preferred.

Green Belt Certification

Advance computer skills and use of software applications such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Excel (including Charts/Graphs), Minitab and Word.

Demonstrates familiarity with FDA, BSI, ISO and GMP requirements

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required or preferred

4-6 years overall business experience. Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred. Is experienced with change management skills. Experience should include Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, and Project Management. Experience in requesting and translating customer needs is preferred.
