SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Product Director position is based in Diamond Bar, California and reports directly to the Group Product Director, Commercial Marketing. This person leads the development and manages the execution of the US Commercial Marketing strategy to achieve defined business objectives for relevant product lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position owns responsibility for the development, execution, and business performance of all programs designed to increase revenue and market share.
The incumbent is responsible for the financial performance of relevant product lines as well as management and monitoring of key accounts, corporate partnerships, product trends, and initiatives.
This Product Director role will lead Biosense Webster’s external marketing partnerships, working with a number of companies in the co-promotion of products within the electrophysiology category. This role will also lead Biosense Webster’s efforts around Fluoroscopy Reduction, a key industry-wide initiative within the company.
The incumbent researches, analyzes, and monitors US product line and SKU level financials, demand trends, customer movements, so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
The person in this role understands and anticipates customer needs. They Support field proactively with on-going customer-facing activities and field presence and develop existing product value proposition (positioning, price, and promotion).
This person is a product expert on the assigned product line and will work closely with the US Marketing, Sales & Field Services workforce and collaborates with Global Educational Department, Commercial Effectiveness and Field Leadership team to develop proper training materials and ensure field proficiency.
The incumbent is responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level as well as for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
They are also responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures and will perform other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:
The incumbent must have a Bachelor's degree required and having a Masters Degree (MBA) is preferred. The person in this role must possess a minimum of 3 years of marketing and/or sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Having 2 or more years experience developing commercial marketing strategies is preferred. Knowledge of Cardiology, Electrophysiology and/or Atrial Fibrillation technology is preferred. It is ideal for the Product Director to have a proven track record of marketing leadership including product positioning, account development and marketing campaigns with strong analytical skills (proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint Word, P&L analysis, and database exposure) to measure results. They should demonstrate experience leading cross-functional and marketing teams to deliver on objectives including revenue, market share and profitability.
It is preferred that the incumbent possesses statistical analysis experience and experience in developing and implementing yearly business plans which include defining of goals, strategies and tactics and be strategic-minded with superior collaboration skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and possess verbal and written communication skills. Having experience in managing partnerships and/or co-promotions and capital equipment experience is also preferred. The incumbent must possess the ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications and have strong presentation skills.
This position will require some domestic travel not to exceed 40% of time and some weekend travel will be required.
