Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C., a Johnson & Johnson Company, is currently recruiting for a Biostatistician for the Nonclinical Statistics & Computing Group. This position is located in Spring House, PA. Local travel to the PA/NJ sites will be required.

The scope of the Nonclinical Statistics & Computing team focuses on needs outside traditional clinical trials. This includes discovery, manufacturing, and safety sciences. The Biostatistician primary responsibilities include collaborating with researchers on experimental design, data analysis, interpretation and communication of data evidence for research, development, and/or marketed product needs in Janssen R&D or other J&J organizations. Appropriate application of statistical methodology is essential. Co-authorship of publications and presentations is also expected. The successful candidate must be constantly eager to expand their statistical, communications, and computing expertise. The individual must also enjoy the process of building long-term collaborative relationships, be at ease with either a non-rigid or rigid structure to projects, and be organized in handling numerous projects simultaneously. Participation in the external professional community is expected as well.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Statistics or related Quantitative Sciences field with a minimum of 2 years of experience OR a PhD in Statistics or related Quantitative Sciences field is required. Proficiency of R, SAS statistical software is required. Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills are required. Knowledge of linear models and multivariate analysis is required. Some exposure to modern data analysis techniques such as data visualization, robust statistics and analysis of high-dimensional data is preferred. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently is required.
