ETHICON Operations is a department of Johnson & Johnson MEDICAL GmbH. It is Europe`s largest and most up to date production facility for surgical suture material, suture needles and absorbable, partially-absorbable and non-absorbable implants.
Tasks
- Provide operational leadership to the suture finishing area
- Responsibility for production volume (capacity), quality, safety and environmental requirements
- Provide leadership to Line Supervisors and Process Technical Experts
- Responsibility for the departmental budget
- Supporting the Business Unit Manager in strategic projects or longer term development of the manufacturing area
- Identify opportunities, analyze and execute projects regarding improvements of quality, cost, customer focus and environmental, health & safety issues
- Take over responsibility for projects as leader or sponsor
- Support the integration of new products into production
Qualifications
- Technical Master’s degree (Manufacturing, Packaging, Industrial Engineering or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex Operations / Supply Chain / Logistics environment, preferably in healthcare or other regulated industries
- Trained in Lean Principles and / or experience in Process Excellence (Black Belt / Green Belt certification preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with project management
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as decision making competence
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong quality mindset
- Exposure to strongly regulated quality environment is an asset
- Fluent in English (verbal, reading and writing)
- Fluency in German is an asset
- Solid skills in all MS-Office applications
