• People leader of a large team of Medical Affairs front/back office functions
• Sydney based – North Ryde

Be Vital in this role…
Reporting to the Medical Affairs Operations Associate Director, this exciting position will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of a sizable team comprising Medical Information, Copy Review, Drug Safety and Product Quality Compliance functions, to ensure seamless management of internal and external customer needs.

Key responsibilities & competencies include:

- People Management - Manage and coach team members to ensure a high level of performance in both front and back office functions.
- Therapeutic Area Representative – Represent the TA at relevant meetings (e.g. Cycle meetings, cross-functional team meetings…), and be the TA point contact for internal and external customers.
- Front-Office Team – Overall responsibility for training, managing and coordinating the Therapeutic Area front-office team to ensure an exemplary level of customer service.
- Back-Office Team – Overall responsibility for training, managing and coordinating the Therapeutic Area back-office team, comprising the Medical Information, Copy Review, Drug Safety and Product Quality Complaints team, to ensure timely and high quality follow-up on customer needs.
- Training – Identify, arrange and /or coordinate highly targeted training to ensure the development of a highly proficient front and back-office team.
- Impact Assessments of Cross-Pharma Documents – Play a key role in the provision of Impact Assessments of cross-pharma documents when notified from global/regional colleagues, or when forward by the Procedures Working Group.
- External Communications – Lead the development, coordination, review, approval and issuing of DHCP letters relevant to Therapeutic Area.
- Metrics and Management Reporting – Manage the implementation, collation and regular reporting of KPIs and other measures.

Key working relationships include:

- External – Consumers, patients, health care professionals, academics, TGA, Medsafe
- Internal – personnel from various departments/functions (ie. Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Health Care Compliance, Finance, etc)

Qualifications

Key to success in this position will be your proven ability to demonstrate the following in a complex environment:

- A degree in medical or life sciences
- Experience in Medical Affairs, including Medical Information, Drug Safety, Clinical Trials, and/or regulatory affairs at an appropriate level
- Experience leading a successful team
- A track record of success with excellent communication skills collaborating with stakeholders internally/externally and at all levels
- High integrity and work ethics, in line with our company's core values
