VISTAKON®, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Senior Director, Global Strategic Insights within our Global Strategic Marketing organization.

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing, the Senior Director, Global Strategic Insights will be part of the Global Strategic Marketing organization tasked with building new marketing capabilities for the Vision Care Franchise. The qualified candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the Global Strategic Insights team (GSI), on a global basis. This position will serve as key representative on Global Strategic Marketing team, and will be the key contact as well for the regional marketing teams for the GSI function. This role will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding, and must be able to activate a team to support learning and insight needs across Vision Care. In addition, the position also requires an individual who is strong in strategic framing, communication, collaboration and interdependent partnering.

The Senior Director will have oversight for consumer and customer marketing research and insights globally and translate the key consumer insights into benefits to be pursued for new and existing products. He/She will lead a team of highly qualified individuals focused on developing and using appropriate research and analytical methodologies to understand and evaluate market conditions, customer and consumer dynamics, competition, market segmentation, brand equity, marketing programs, advertising/communications, and franchise business performance. This Leader will be responsible for flawless execution of all projects and activities to required to drive success of the business and pipeline including proactively providing fact based insights and analytics programs to address strategic business needs and developing and implementing new innovative insights and business analytics tools and techniques and processes. The Senior Director will serve as key strategic partner to Vision Care Global Marketing, Regional Presidents and Vice-presidents, and the GMB. He/She will ensure that new products and programs are customer-centric and positioned to drive high impact with customers and consumers in our target markets and serve as objective steward of the business. The Senior Director will lead

education and dissemination of integrated knowledge estate and market information for key business partners and leverage experiences to integrate novel/innovative methods for the business as it relates to the development and execution of strategic insights. The Senior Director will support departmental and franchise objectives, while adhering to the Johnson and Johnson Credo, as well as local safety and environmental policy and procedures.

Qualifications


A BS or BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field is required; an MBA or MS is preferred. A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in strategic insights, market research, business analytics, strategic forecasting or a related field is required. Proven track record of managing in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration and influence is needed. Eight (8) to ten (10) years experience managing people (larger team management experience preferred). Proven track record of performance that demonstrates strong leadership and ability to create a high performance global strategic insights team.
Strong results orientation while leading through others. Demonstrated ability to influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure an impactful level of team involvement in key business discussions. Ability to lead cross-functional teams, sometimes requiring managing and leading without authority as needed (strong influencing skills). Ability to understand, translate and integrate multiple data sources into actionable insights to drive decision-making is required. Working knowledge of industry primary market research tools and techniques, secondary data, competitive intelligence data, and strategic forecasting is required.

Demonstrated success in creative problem solving and team partnership is required. Experience in New Product Development and Innovation preferred, but not required. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills are required. Strong project management skills in a deadline-oriented environment are required. Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, and basic knowledge of analytical tools (eg SPSS or SAS) required.
