Description

Neutrogena Corporation, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Machine Operator, based in Los Angeles, CA.

Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body lotion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products.

The Machine Operator will comply with Neutrogena's policies, procedures, quality standards and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), as well as safety and environmental regulations. This individual will monitor production and/or packaging operations and perform troubleshooting while following policies and procedures regarding equipment, components, and finished goods.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for completing line sheets, calculating minimum and maximum weights and torques, downtime log sheets, batch records and reconciliation forms.

The Machine Operator will conduct first piece and line clearance inspections, complete AQL's, maintain specification requirements, analyze recordings and statistics, and adjust equipment to meet specifications. Perform frequent quality inspections and document the inspections and train line personnel on quality specifications for the product currently in production.

The Machine Operator will adhere to principles of FIFO and LOTO while providing team leadership to line crew by communicate with line crew to assure complete understanding of issues, problems, changes or other challenges. This individual will effectively perform shift changeovers, train new line workers and train line workers for quality inspection.

The Machine Operator will maintain efficient Production Line Operation by solving production process problems and adjusting equipment, partnering with support Operator, verifying receipt of correct components. This individual will perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications


A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing and or operating production equipment is required. A minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience with SAP is preferred. Experience in a regulatory environment is preferred. Experience using basic workshop tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches is required. Previous computer experience is required.

This candidate will able to contribute to a productive and cooperative atmosphere, show commitment to team objectives, handle day-to-day work challenges and manage multiple tasks and competing demands. This candidate will be able to speak and write clearly and concisely in English, listen carefully and seek clarification. This candidate will be able to create documents that are complete and accurate and serve as an expert on job and procedures.

This candidate will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud. This candidate will perform repetitive and non-repetitive work. While performing the duties of this job, this candidate will be required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, use hands and fingers, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. This candidate will frequently be required to reach with hands and arms, push and pull objects, and to move within and between the buildings. The candidate will occasionally be required to crouch or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This candidate must be able to view objects closely and use a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.

This position may require working 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift with potential over-time and weekend shifts and is located at Neutrogena in Los Angeles, CA.
