This role is responsible to provide leadership to team members and the Bridgewater Distribution Center in support of achieving the goals and objectives of the DC and achievement of operating company service level agreements, while managing within the operational budget. Perform tasks in accordance with defined job processes in a 24-hour, global distribution center supporting multiple operating company franchises. Manage people, time and tasks in accordance with safety, quality and environmental compliance, operational budget, and operational calendar. .Drive continuous improvement in both productivity and quality. Exhibit strong skills to analyze and solve problems; support Lean and PE projects.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    Day-to-Day Operations Activities: (completed in accordance with defined processes, policies and legal compliance activities; i.e., SOX)
    Provide leadership to team members and the Bridgewater Distribution Center in support of achieving the goals and objectives of the DC and achievement of operating company service level agreements, while managing within the operational budget.Assign Shift workEnsure smooth shift overlap and transitionBalance operational priorities across end to end process and cross franchise view from replenishment to shipmentOversee housekeeping, safety and qualityComplete analysis for effective labor managementUnderstand and know how to use wave planning toolsDetermine and decide picking strategies and priorities
    Organization and People Development, activities include:
    Provide guidance, direction, development planning, and performance feedback on a regular basis to all team members, in accordance with JJHCS Career Management Process, to ensure effective and productive work teams.

    Process Improvement: activities, to include
    Address customer complaints with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action plan
    Proactive research of environment for trends in voice of customer for broader planning
    Proactively assess performance of assigned area, identify failures and root causes and make improvements
    Participate in and lead programs to ensure efficient and cost effective operation and utilization of the facility

    Implement Management Action Plan to ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance.

    Lead and or participate in departmental/divisional projects as assigned. Regularly communicate in all directions to keep associates, peers, and Management informed of project status, process changes, and opportunities.
    Completes all other tasks/projects as assigned by Management.

    Qualifications


    BS in Logistics, Business or related fields required.

    Five years of relevant experience in distribution, operations, Supply Chain and/or logistics, and people management. Experience working in a GMP environment is an asset. Process Excellence and / or Lean experience a plus

    Qualified candidates should be able to operate and/or be trained and certified to operate a forklift or other equipment as needed.

    The work environment is a warehouse setting at a Logistics Center. Domestic travel may be required 10% of the time. The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, sit and stand. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to work in a refrigerated environment at 2 to 8 C (35 to 46 F) for 2 hours or more at a time. The employee must have the ability to operate a phone, computer, and fax machine.
