Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. is recruiting for a Director, Quality Systems. This position can be located in Skillman, Raritan, or Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. develops and markets baby care, wound care and skin care products that address the needs of consumers and health care professionals and incorporate the latest innovations. The portfolio includes heritage brands JOHNSON’S® Baby and BAND-AID® Brand, as well as leading skin care brands such as AVEENO® and CLEAN & CLEAR®.

The Director, Quality Systems reports to the VP J&J Quality Systems Pharmaceutical Sector and Complaint Management. This individual assumes ownership of and provides leadership of all the existing Complaint Management processes and platforms in use within J&J consumer businesses today.

The Director, Quality Systems works closely with various internal and external stakeholders. For example: JJSC LT, JJ Q&C LT, Sector Op Co Quality and R&D leads, Global Medical Safety, Regional Op Co Leads, Enterprise and Sector Plan, Source, Make, Deliver Leads, OSE, BtB, MDM, etc. Assumes ownership of and provides leadership of all the existing Complaint Management processes and platforms in use within J&J consumer businesses today.

The Director, Quality Systems identifies and continuously monitors global process and platform inventory. Provides direct management and talent development of the multiple global process and application owners and their associated staff across all of J&J. Ensures the continuous improvement and appropriate compliance of the associated processes and platforms. Works with the Complaint Management Strategy Leader to define, develop and deploy the future state processes and platforms across all of J&J. Works with the Complaint Management Process and Platform Leader for Pharm, to drive alignment and collaboration to reach envisioned future state for Complaint Management for the Enterprise. Continuously reviews the current state internal environment and aligns the roadmap to meet changing business needs. Supports the creation of value propositions for associated programs required to maintain, sustain, and improve current state processes and platforms in line with the future state roadmap and manages capital appropriation requests and budgets required for the realization of those programs.

The Director, Quality Systems works with the Complaint Management Strategy Leader to align the transformation of the complex and variable current state across the Enterprise with the design and deployment of the future state in order to maximize the associated value proposition. Helps establish and ensure Enterprise-wide current state system governance and application administration processes and structures to support operation and short to mid-term changes to platforms and supporting infrastructure. Maintains organizational change strategies, including training, communication, business administration and organizational designs. Supports the design, development and execution of large, complex, global Organizational Change Management and talent / skills development strategies required to transition the complex and varied current state to the J&J standard future state.

Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a highly regulated environment is required. An Advanced degree in science, business, engineering, or organizational management is preferred. Experience managing Quality Management Systems in an international, global context is preferred. Experience in Complaint Management processes and platforms is required. Experience in Quality and Compliance is required. A proven track record of success interacting with and influencing senior management is required. Cross-sector experience (Consumer Products, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals) is preferred.

Experience developing a high performing team, and the ability to lead in a matrixed environment is required. The ability to shape strategy, create a future vision, and gain support and alignment to that vision is required. The ability to build interdependent partnerships, and act as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition is required. Analytical skills and experience leading risk-based oversight programs is required. Organizational change management experience is required. Project management experience is required. Executive presentation skills are required. The ability to manage complexity and ambiguity is required. A bifocal approach, with the ability to zoom-in/zoom-out, and act strategically and tactically at a detailed, high-level is required.

Up to approximately 25% domestic and international travel may be required. This position can be located in Skillman, Raritan, or Bridgewater, New Jersey.
