The Technician constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests, documents and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems. The Technician performs and documents moderately complex technical functions relating to test, quality control, layout fabrication, modification and assembly of mechanical equipment and/or components, under minimal supervision. S/he performs moderately complex electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, developmental or test technician duties in such area as manufacturing, maintenance, quality testing, engineering where selected judgment and initiative are required to solve problems and make recommendations. S/he constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests, documents and maintains moderately complex equipment, components, devices and systems. The Technician performs moderately complex electronic measurements using meters, scopes and custom analyzers as well as carry out complex test set up, coordinates activities with inside and outside personnel. The Technician will participate with engineers, supervisors, and production personnel to ensure all operational imperatives are met within the areas of safety, quality, production, and new products. S/he will also assist engineering in the development of new processes.
Qualifications
A minimum of an Associate’s degree with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent is required (e.g. 4 or more years of related experience) . Understanding of algebra, trigonometry and software programming is preferred. Kn owledge of Industrial Design Applications (Ideas, Alias or Solidworks) is preferred. Experience with running and validation of Interventional Device Tester (IDTE) is preferred. Proficient with the use of Capillary Rheometer is preferred. Proficient with execution of IQs is preferred. Proficient with the use of U-Torque / I-Torque is preferred. Capable of creating spread sheets using Office Excel is preferred. Capable of Analyzing data using Mini Tab 16 is preferred. Experienced with the set-up and running wire extrusion with a sleeve process is preferred. Must be able to read and follow manufacturing work instructions written in English is required.
