Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Operations
Report to: Manufacturing Team Lead
Location: Limerick
Travel: ~5-10%

Position Summary:
Responsible for the hands-on maintenance and calibration of process equipment and packaging equipment. In addition, supports maintenance of production facility equipment. Working closely with the operations team, the maintenance technicians will form part of the overall site goal of maximizing asset performance.
Main duties and responsibilities:
General Activities
• Working assigned shift patterns to meet business needs and operations schedule.
• Completing all documentation and tasks in compliance with appropaite procudrues and corporate, cGMP and EHS regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring that personal training requirements are completed in compliance with site procedures.
• Ensure that housekeeping standards and excellent Clean Room Techniques are practiced within the Operations facility at all times and maintained to a very high standard of GMP readiness
• Demonstrate Credo value of integrity.
• Developing maintenance procedures and equipment files. Review and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.
• Responsible for first line maintenance and repair on all manufacturing area and production equipment (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation).
• Responsibility for fault finding, trouble shooting, maintenance, and continuous improvements
• Collecting and analyzing equipment data to report on equipment performance leading to development and implementation of performance improvement stategies.
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance and calibrations activities to support business needs and to meet requirements of Master Production Schedule.
• Executing preventive maintenance and calibration routines of process equipment, process support equipment and packaging equipment.
• Familiarization with and adoption of ME2 and maintenance best practices at all times.
• Determines instrument requirements, develops and maintains calibration procedures and ensures that appropriate calibration standards and supplies are maintained
• Assisting with rolling shutdown preparation and execution.
• Preparing and maintaining all calibration documentation (Instrument lists, calibration procedures, equipment files, calibration certificates, etc.) in compliance with cGMP (FDA and IMB) regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Emergency Response/Fire/First Aid teams as necessary.
• Reporting non conformances and deviations promptly to the management to ensure compliance with EHS and GMP requirements.
• Carry out all activities in compliance with corporate and cGMP/EHS regulatory requirements
• Support and participate in construction, commissioning and qualification of equipment.
• Managing maintenance contracts and working with/supporting contractors.
• Assisting in maintenance stores operations, as required.
• Training other staff in team procedures and techniques, as required.
• Undertaking training to keep skills up to date.
• Completion of transactions on ERP/MES/CMMS, and other systems.
• Participate in Cross-Functional teams as necessary within Ethicon Biosurgery
Qualifications

• Proficiency in process performance monitoring tools e.g. trend charts, process control charts.

Education and Experience:
• Third Level Qualification in electro / mechanical discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent role in an automated GMP regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience of CMMS and PLC systems
• Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
