Make Engineering – Local Project Engineer-00000MED

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group of Companies develops and markets consumer healthcare, baby care, and beauty/skin care products that address the needs of consumers and health care professionals and incorporate the latest innovations.
For our plant based in SANTA PALOMBA (Rome – Italy), we are looking for a Local Project Engineer.
The LOCAL PROJECT ENGINEER will report to the Site Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the following activities:
- management of projects execution making sure timing, costs and customer satisfaction objectives are met;
- supervision of installation phase and ascertainment all safety conditions are always in place anytime;
- deep understanding of manufacturing processes, technology and working conditions;
- identification and sharing of user requirements (UR), finding commonalities and matching them with others plants case history. The Local Project Engineer drives equipment standardization for the site by leveraging global platforms;
- planning equipment modification or installation together with Planning and Production, in accordance with plants customer satisfaction objectives. Alternative proposals to overcome constrains.
- liaison with external partners (Suppliers, Constructor, Consultants, etc.) to assure equipment acquisition meets project objectives (timing, performance, etc.) through technical specification definition, design review, acceptance tests, start-up tests, etc;
- management of know how transfer to end users (Production and Maintenance operators) through execution of formal training sessions. Coaching to Production and Maintenance operators and supervisors to leverage available technology;
- support of Production and Maintenance to start up equipment and run performance validation;
- improvement:Identification of opportunities (CIP, capacity, capability) and assessment of capital investment and cost impacts. Contribution to the BP Capital projects definition phase;
- support of cross EMEA regional engineering activities
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:
- University degree in Engineering;
- at least 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing industry;
- Fluent Knowledge of English.
