General Job Description:
To conform a plant production schedule in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) to support the established master production schedule strategy
Main responsibilities
- Conduct rough-cut capacity planning to ensure resources are available to meet production plan. Reviews capacity loads, gather information to ensure constraints are identified and factored into production plan.
- Analyze inputs affecting production plan and make appropriate adjustments to the plan; monitor key metrics to ensure process remains in control
- Monitors and anticipates production issues due to capacity and new product launches.
- Prepares schedules and ensures timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes
- Create detailed product recovery plans as needed and communicate to organization as required
- Develop and implement planning models to supply lean scheduling initiatives
- Maintain planning parameters within MRP advanced Planning System
- Prepares production / planning reports as required. Analyzes month end activity to determine the need for forecast modification. Recommends revisions.
- Participates in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules
- Lead and identifies improvement opportunities for plant or manufacturing unit supply S&OPs as required
- Identify and drives opportunities to improve inventory investment through inventory entitlement model for applicable production line.
- Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities
- Follow J&J and EES Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third party vendor if applicable.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.
Reporting to: Planning Manager
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum two to Three years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management
- Understanding of supply chain in an ERP environment and how it impacts customer service and inventory.
- Experience with multi-site operations preferred
- Experience with the implementation and use of MRP and lean planning
- systems
- Bilingual: English/ Spanish preferred
- ERP systems / concept knowledge
- Advanced planning systems (APS/APO) knowledge desirable
- Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning
- Accuracy with attention to detail
- Proactive approach
- Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions
- Able to work with limited supervision
- GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred
- Ability to influence business partners to achieve metrics
- Bachelor’s Degree
- APICS certification preferred
- MBA Preferred
