In the Bioanalysis group of Janssen Research and Development, drugs and their metabolites are accurately quantified in bodyfluids from laboratory animals, healthy human volunteers and patients, using validated LC-MS/MS assays. Bioanalytical Method Development Specialist (scientist or senior scientist level)
Job Description
- Efficiently develop robust bioanalytical LC-MS/MS assays in support of animal toxicokinetic and clinical pharmacokinetic studies
- Troubleshoot assays and instruments
- Transfer validated assays to contract labs in later development phase
- Daily coaching of lab technicians
- Keep abreast with new developments in the field of bioanalysis
- Publish in peer reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent with at least 3 years of industry or academia experience in the field of bioanalysis
- Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS and sample prep techniques for biofluids
- Skilled in operating, caring and maintaining triple quad mass spec and LC instruments
- Familiar with FDA and EMA regulations on bioanalysis
- Knowledge of LC-MS/MS analysis of proteins & peptides and lab automation is an asset
- Excellent social, organizational and communication skills (oral and written); willing to learn Dutch if not the mother tongue
