VISTAKON®, Division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead, 3GT, (3rd generation technology) located in Jacksonville, Florida. Based on business needs, this position may be assigned to a Monday - Friday, standard hours shift; or Day Shift (6 am – 6 p.m.) or Night Shift (6 p.m.- 6 a.m.).

This position provides leadership and supervision to the team of technicians operating the manufacturing equipment.
Performs a variety of engineering functions of intermediate scope involving the troubleshooting of equipment, processes or facilities related to the manufacturing lines. Works closely with other engineering disciplines in the application of troubleshooting equipment and processes.
Supervises the adherence to safety, environmental, quality and regulatory policies & procedures.
Provides training, coaching and supervision to technicians in order to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Identifies, plans, executes and facilitates improvements to the quality & throughput of the manufacturing lines under moderate supervision. Coordinates teams of technicians as necessary for completion of projects. Supervises the adherence to safety, environmental, quality and regulatory policies & procedures.
Identifies and revises safety, regulatory, equipment and process training documentation.
Develops and implements equipment and/or throughput enhancements that will improve efficiency, product yield and safety. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Candidates who possess a BS in Engineering or a Science are preferred.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in equipment development, or project management, or installation or qualification highly preferred. A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience of direct reports in a technical workforce is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills required. Candidates who possess Six Sigma/Process Excellence/Lean certification are preferred.
