Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C., a Johnson & Johnson company, is recruiting for a Field Technical Expert, Procedure Training to be located in Spring House, PA.
Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C. develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurologic disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders, and reproductive medicine.
The Field Technical Expert, Procedure Training is responsible for the in-field execution of follow up training and support for the ophthalmic/retina cell delivery procedure as part of the Training Continuum during the learning curve phase of the CNTO2476 procedure. They will be the CNTO2476 procedure expert who will provide continued education and training within the surgeon’s site of care. The FTEPT will help to develop detailed procedure training plans for execution including budgets, facility, faculty and content needs. They will help design and refine processes for logistics and metrics for continued program improvement. They will partner on strategy, planning and execution for CNTO2476 procedure development, clinical trials and commercial launch. They will provide insight and feedback to the appropriate internal stakeholders so as to ensure optimized results from the procedure training. This individual is responsible for adhering to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as Company Health Care Compliance policies.
The Field Technical Expert will assume continuous procedure training in-field support responsibility for the CNTO2476 cell delivery procedure. This will include the following responsibilities: Accountable for becoming the expert for the CNTO 2476 cell delivery procedure including; instrumentation/devices, OR set up, OR team roles & responsibilities; Assist in the development and continued refinement of procedure training materials in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a standardized approach in the delivery of product; Partner with Surgical Operations Lead and CRO Program Leader to understand and execute appropriate levels of procedure follow up training and support in accordance with all relevant laws, guidelines, work instructions and best practices.
Assume the role of a procedure training resource for other relevant internal and external personnel as required. Actively contribute to the timely achievement of milestones. Identifies HCP’s for participation in clinical trials relevant to targeted product delivery; also coordinates this activity with appropriate internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that operational objectives are met in conformance to all relevant laws, regulations, guidelines and internal SOPs/policies. Support management in relevant infrastructure functions such as technology support, training and document management. Collaborate with 3rd party vendors as the procedure expert for help with content creation and training modality development to ensure best in class training deliverables are met.
The Field Technical Expert will also collaborate with J&J/Janssen staff to ensure information sharing and integration of systems and processes. Platforms for collaboration include, but are not limited to: Procedure Development, Clinical, Janssen R&D, Safety Management, J&J/MD&D, Various leadership teams, and Advisory Boards.
Interactions may also occur with: SCO and J&J leaders in areas outside of Procedure Training, including strategic marketing, human resources, regulatory affairs, finance and others and Clinical investigators and procedure training faculty.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Clinical degree such as an RN or PA or technically trained in the ophthalmic, preferably retina space. Demonstrated ophthalmic, preferably retina, surgical procedure experience including utilization and knowledge of instruments and equipment. Experience in the operating room environment. Ability to travel overnight 50-80% of the time routinely involving air travel. Demonstrated leadership skills. Experience and understanding of WW regions and countries. Knowledge and understanding of Legal and Health Care Compliance policies. Project leadership, problem solving and solutions driven skills. Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: B.S. degree, Demonstrated success working with clinicians in a clinical environment, Experience in conducting training/education, and Medical Device experience in an educational capacity.
