Job Summary
Senior Packaging Operators contribute to the McNeil team while operating solid and liquid dosage packaging equipment. This function also includes line set up and assembly, operating material handling equipment, cleaning and sanitation of all related equipment and work areas. Senior Packaging Operators are committed to continuous quality improvement involving the identification and implementation of process improvements.
The individual will be required to monitor equipment functions, troubleshoot and correct minor equipment issues.
This role requires compliance with all departmental safety and hygiene policies including following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), wearing respiratory protection, approved eye protection, approved footwear and use of all required protective equipment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
8 years of Packaging Operator experience in a regulated environment is required
High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuvering of equipment is required
Strong computer literacy is required
Experience with SAP is preferred
Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment is preferred
Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision
Electrical or Millwright tickets would be considered an asset
