Description

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies is currently seeking a Facilities Manager in Los Angeles, CA.

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. develops and markets baby care, wound care and skin care products that address the needs of consumers and health care professionals and incorporate the latest innovations. The portfolio includes heritage brands JOHNSON'S® Baby and AVEENO®, as well as leading skin care brands such as NEUTROGENA® and CLEAN & CLEAR®.

The Facilities Manager will serve as a single point of accountability and is responsible for delivering quality, safe, compliant and productive workplace environments at the Los Angeles site - with a high touch customer service orientation. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for delivering office, lab and GMP plant facilities maintenance operations, infrastructure management, space management, and on- site employee services.

The Facilities Manager will develop site-level customer relationships with business units and serve as their facilities single point of contact, understand their strategies and expectations and translate them into business service solutions. The Manager will ensureefficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utilities operations, security, project management, move services and all facilities operations, utilizing an effective balance of internal employees and service providers. The Manager will ensure compliance with GMP requirements as they pertain to facility maintenance and plant utilities.

The Facilities Manager will provide support as necessary for the facilities MRO and calibration programs. The Manager will act as the site single point of contact for Enterprise Facilities Management Global Competency (Asset Management, Lab Services, Services Strategy, and Energy Management). Champion Enterprise FM initiatives. The Manager will develop and monitor operational budgets for both internal and contracted resources; responsible for operational performance of service providers. The Facilities Manager will have an understanding of and complete accruals to support development of budget reports. The Manager will ensure compliance with good commercial, laboratory and manufacturing practices, and other regulations. The Manager where appropriate will serve as primary site liaison for EHS compliance.

The Facilities Manager will support business continuity planning, Energy/Sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs. The Manager will lead/support incident response and site crisis management program. The Manager will deliver space planning and space management services to business units.

The Facilities Manager will lead infrastructure and all facilities related capital project planning and execution. The Manager will interface with business units and contractors during planning and construction of large projects. The Manager will continually improve the workplace experience via the delivery of consistent site amenities and employee services, including, parking, food, event planning, and other business services as agreed with local site management. The Manager with support from the Enterprise Competencies Team will devise and deploy the Maintenance Excellence program at the site level and across the assigned geography. The Manager will build and coordinate external relationships with landlords, local, regional and state governments for site and community relations. The Manager where appropriate, actively participate in Site governance councils (at sites with multiple business groups and/or no single site leadership position).

The Manager will provide change management leadership to implement Facilities strategies and initiatives at the site. The Manager will establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices. The Manager will work collaboratively with Regional lead to ensure alignment and connectivity between and across regions

Qualifications


A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Business or Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 6 -8 years of work experience in a highly regulated environment is required. Experience in leadership roles within facilities management is preferred. Technical knowledge of facilities management or related fields is required. Experience with Utilities operations and energy management is required.

Experience with GMP, EHS, and other regulatory standards is required. Compliance knowledge is required. Maintenance and construction best practices experience is required. Contractor management and Project Management experience is required. Leadership capabilities including talent development is required.

Experience with Customer Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Site Governance/Operations is desirable. Excellent Communications (written, oral and verbal) with senior leadership is essential. Experience with Financial/budget management is desirable. The ability to be adept in working in a matrix organization is desirable. Candidate should have the ability to focus strategically while maintaining a tactical/operational focus. Candidate should have the ability to lead a team of professionals with diverse skills and competencies spanning business and technical areas. Candidate should have the ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations to J&J. Candidate should have the ability to lead diverse teams through change and organizational transformation.
