Engineering Co-op opportunities are available in Technical Services, Packaging, Planning, and Sterilization. Co-op will support departmental projects and work under the direct supervision of a manufacturing engineer.
Our Co-op Program is focused on providing college students with practical business experience. It allows the student to develop leadership skills, broaden understanding of concepts learned in school, and obtain industry experience. Students will be better able to apply concepts learned in the classroom and will be able to ask more poignant questions of their professors to further their goals and education.
Qualifications
Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university during the Co-op is required. Actively pursuing at least a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Operations is required. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Logistics/Planning/Supply Chain academic majors are preferred. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Co-op is required. Completion of at least freshman year of undergraduate academic program is required. A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 (based on 4.0 scale) is preferred. Demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities is preferred.
Engineering Co-op positions are located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ability to commute to/from this work location is required. A stipend will be offered to students who meet the commuting distance eligibility requirements. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
