SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Associate Product Director reports directly to a Group Product Director, US Commercial Marketing. This person supports the development and manages the execution of the US Commercial Marketing strategy for his/her assigned product line to achieve defined business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under supervision, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, the person in this position owns responsibility for the development, execution, and business performance of all programs designed to increase revenue and market share.
The incumbent is responsible for the financial performance of relevant product lines as well as management and monitoring of key accounts, product trends, and initiatives.
They will perform as a product expert on the assigned product line and will work closely with the US Marketing, Sales & Field Services workforce.
The incumbent is responsible for developing and managing national and local programs or initiatives that align to the US business plan and lead to achievement of annual revenue plans for the assigned product line in the US market. They will create and execute downstream marketing plans that increase US market share.
The person in this role researches, analyzes, and monitors US product line and SKU level financials, demand trends, customer movements, so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized as well as understand and anticipate customer needs. They will Support field proactively with on-going customer-facing activities and field presence and develop existing product value proposition (positioning, price, and promotion).
The incumbent collaborates with Global Educational Department, Commercial Effectiveness and Field Leadership team to develop proper training materials and ensures field proficiency. They are responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level and for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition. They are responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures and perform other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:
The incumbent must have a Bachelor's degree required and a Masters Degree (MBA) is preferred. They must have a minimum of 3 years of marketing and/or sales experience, ideally in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience. It is preferred the Associate Product Director has 0-3 years experience developing commercial marketing strategies for new products or programs and knowledge of Electrophysiology and Atrial Fibrillation technology. It is preferred the incumbent has Selling skills with formal Selling skills training along with Statistical analysis experience.
The incumbent must have a proven track record of marketing leadership including product positioning, account development and marketing campaigns with strong analytical skills (Functional knowledge with Microsoft Office, financial analysis and database exposure) to measure results. They also must possess experience in developing and implementing yearly business plans which include defining of marketing goals, strategies and tactics. They must be strategic-minded with superior collaboration skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications and have strong presentation skills required.
This position will require some domestic travel not to exceed 40% of time and some weekend travel will be required. The Associate Product Director will meet with at least 1-2 customers per month and attend internal Sales & Commercial Marketing Team meetings as requested.
This position is located in Diamond Bar, CA and requires no more than 40% travel.
